XPENG officially released the MONA M03 on August 27th during a launch event. This model, positioned as a "smart battery electric hatchback coupe", comes in three variants: the XPENG MONA M03 515 Long CruisingRange version, priced at 119,800 RMB; the XPENG MONA M03 620 Ultra Long Cruising Range version, priced at 129,800 RMB; and the XPENG MONA M03 580 Ultra Long Cruising Range Max version, priced at 155,800 RMB. Notably, the Max version is set to commence delivery after the Spring Festival in 2025.



XPENG MONA M03 accurately captures the aesthetic preferences and lifestyle of young users, employing AI quantitative aesthetics design to create the "new Series 3 for the smart era," offering five exterior color options. In terms of exterior and interior design, the XPENG MONA M03 incorporates many design elements typically found in luxury and sports cars, such as an ultra-low center of gravity, large wheels, Cd 0.194 ultra-low drag, star-ship lighting clusters, ergonomic cloud-touch seats, and heat-insulating panoramic sunroofs, providing users with a more enjoyable driving experience.


XPENG is particularly attuned to the needs of young users in terms of smart technology.


In terms of the smart cockpit, the XPENG MONA M03 focuses on four aspects: the intelligent hub, immersive theater, magic space, and intelligent interaction, offering young people an interesting smart interactive experience. Notably, the XPENG MONA M03 comes standard with a 15.6-inch floating touch control screen, 8155 automotive-grade chip flagship combination and a standard 16GB of large memory, delivering a smoother in-car experience than models priced over 200,000 RMB.

In terms of intelligent driving, XPENG officially released its self-developed Turing chip, which was successfully taped out on August 23rd and is the world's first AI chip used in AI vehicles, robots, and flying cars. The XPENG Turing chip features a 40-core processor, designed for L4 autonomous driving research and development, with three times the computing power of existing chips. This chip has many functional designs tailored for driving scenarios, including an independent safety island, enabling real-time blind-spot monitoring throughout the vehicle. Previously, on May 20th, XPENG launched an end-to-end smart driving large model that can be mass-produced and installed in vehicles, which includes three major parts: the neural network XNet, the planning model XPlanner, and the large language model XBrain.


Relying on XPENG's leading intelligent driving technology, the 515 Long Cruising Range and 620 Ultra Long Cruising Range versions of the XPENG MONA M03 are equipped with more than 20 smart perception hardware, the only standard equipment in their class, including 2 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars and 7 cameras, offering the strongest perception capability in their class and achieving L2-level intelligent driving capabilities. It is also the only model in its class that comes standard with LCC lane centering assistance, ACC adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree imaging system. In addition, it boasts the best full-scene smart parking system in its class, with 100% scenario applicability and a parking success rate of 95%, making parking more relaxed and efficient.


The 580 Ultra Long Cruising Range Max version of MONA M03 is equipped with the full-scene intelligent assisted driving XNGP, which is currently the only high-level intelligent assisted driving system under 200,000 RMB, not limited by city, route, or road conditions, suitable for roads across the country, and especially suitable for users pursuing the ultimate smart experience.



In terms of power and cruising range, the new car will offer two types of motors with maximum power of 140kW and 160kW, and acceleration times from 0-100km/h of 7.8 and 7.4 seconds, respectively. They are equipped with two types of lithium iron phosphate batteries, 51.8 kWh and 62.2 kWh, with a range of 515km and 620km, respectively. The XPENG MONA M03 620 Ultra Long Cruising Range version has a real range of 620km, with a comprehensive power consumption of 11.5kWh per hundred kilometers, and a measured energy consumption that can be as low as 9.6kWh, with a 15-minute fast charge providing a range of 200 kilometers, ranking at the forefront of its class. 



The market in the 100,000-200,000 RMB price range is highly competitive, with more and more Chinese and even overseas brands joining this segment, continuously improving and launching new products to capture market share. After the launch of the XPENG MONA M03, it is expected to start competing with models such as the BYD Qin PLUS EV and AION S MAX. At the same time, due to pricing, it also has a competitive relationship with models like the Toyota Corolla and Levin. With its affordable price, excellent configuration, and high cost performance, the XPENG MONA M03 is expected to gain considerable attention and market sales.
