XPENG Motors officially launched the "world's first AI car" XPENG P7+ on October 10th. This is the first model equipped with XPENG's new generation of autonomous driving hardware platform.
The XPENG P7+ is the industry's first product to fully apply the AI in-car operating system - the AI XOS system. It fully integrates XPENG's self-developed X-GPT large model, with over 1000+ perception points and over 800+ cabin functions.
The XPENG P7+ has a more sporty appearance, incorporating elements of technology and AI aesthetics into the new car's exterior based on the "Fusion Geometry" design language: a rounded front face, a ring-shaped through LED light group, a smooth streamlined fastback design, a full and smooth body side, and a floating double-layer spoiler, etc. The interior also has prominent highlights, such as the 2.0 version of the cloud sensation seat with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, a floating instrument screen, and a floating central control design, etc.
In addition to the beautiful appearance and interior, the large space and high-level intelligent driving functions of the XPENG P7+ make it a significant highlight, paying more attention to the interior space, more suitable for family use, bringing customers the space and comfort of a "luxury executive sedan", as well as the driving pleasure of "high-grade intelligent pure electricity" that many ICE sedans do not have.
In terms of space, the XPENG P7+ is known as the SUV version of a sports car, with a body length of 5056mm and a wheelbase of 3000mm. Through unique design, the XPENG P7+ achieves the highest space utilization rate of 88% among models in the same class.
In terms of intelligent driving, the XPENG P7+ is equipped with a brand new intelligent driving solution - the XPENG AI Eagle Eye Vision Solution, combined with the first launch of the AI XOS 5.4.0 version system, achieving an AI intelligent driving experience that is not limited by road conditions or routes. The biggest change in the P7+ intelligent driving solution lies in the improvement of perception and recognition speed. According to official publicity, the perception distance of this Eagle Eye Vision Solution has increased by 125%, and the recognition speed has increased by 40%.
In terms of battery and cruising range, all P7+ models are equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack, providing two specifications of battery packs with 60.7kWh and 76.3kWh, with maximum power of 180kW and 230kW respectively, and the corresponding battery-only cruising range are 620km and 710km respectively. According to the energy consumption data released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the lowest power consumption of the two single-motor versions of the P7+ is 11.6kWh per hundred kilometers, and the highest is 12.8kWh.
At the same time, the thickness of the battery pack has also improved the interior space. The 800V battery pack with a total height of only 109mm further optimizes the excellent vertical space of the P7+, and the hatchback shape releases more headroom for the driver.
It is reported that the P7+ exhibition car has arrived at various stores across the country, and will start pre-sale at the Paris Auto Show, which will open on October 14th; in early November, the P7+ will be delivered as soon as it goes on the market.
According to industry insiders, as a luxury sports car under 300,000 yuan, the XPENG P7+ is expected to become a strong competitor to BYD Han EV, Xiaomi SU7, JIYUE 07, LUXEED S7, as well as Audi A6L and Mercedes-Benz E class. In addition, the MONA M03 launched by XPENG at the end of August is currently selling well, with the first month's delivery breaking ten thousand, and the total delivery in September 2024 breaking twenty thousand, ranking first in the sales of new force car companies' pure electric models in that month.
