On October 25th, the 200,000th set of SVOLT's Short Blade battery packs successfully rolled off the production line at the Yancheng base in Jiangsu, marking a continuous surge in the shipment volume of SVOLT's Short Blade batteries.

Data shows that as of September 2024, SVOLT's Short Blade battery delivery volume reached 198,435 sets, ranking first globally, with export volumes reaching 109,545 sets, accounting for a high proportion of 55%. This data demonstrates SVOLT's leading position of Short Blade batteries in the global market and also proves the widespread recognition and welcome of Short Blade batteries by customers worldwide.

SVOLT, the pioneer of the Short Blade battery category, has since the launch of the industry's first Short Blade battery at the Shanghai Auto Show in 2019 and expansion Short Blade battery category to the all-application scenario in 2021, developed to now cover the full size range of Short Blade battery products from L300 to L600. It covers the entire charging range from 1.6 to 4C, applicable to electric passenger cars, energy storage, electric commercial vehicles, electric construction machinery, low-speed electric vehicles, and all other usage scenarios, and covers all the chemistry from cobalt-free, nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) to lithium iron phosphate (LFP).

Over the years, SVOLT has continuously upgraded the Short Blade battery category based on market demand changes, launching a series of Short Blade fast-charging products, becoming the world's first battery company to make 2.2C-6C fast-charging based on Short Blade specifications. Its fast-charging products include the industry-leading 5C LFP Short Blade cells for the pure electric (BEV) market and 6C NMC ultra-fast charging cells, the 2.2C second-generation Short Blade cells for the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) market, and the industry's first 4C hybrid Short Blade cells—"800V Hybrid NMC Dragon Scale Armor Battery", as well as 325Ah, 350Ah, and 770Ah Short Blade cells specifically for the energy storage (ESS) market. Currently, SVOLT's Short Blade products fully cover the range from 2.2C to 6C and are fully adapted to different market application scenarios such as PHEV, EV, and ESS.

With the "Short Blade + Flying Stack" golden combination technology route, SVOLT's Short Blade batteries have been equipped on many well-known brand models such as Geely Galaxy, VOYAH, Li Auto, Tank, and JIYUE, covering various models including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and unmanned vehicles.

Currently, SVOLT's Short Blade battery mass production customer projects have reached 84, including 3 overseas projects in mass production, with multiple projects under research and development. It is expected that SVOLT's Short Blade battery installation volume will support over 120,000 new energy vehicles in Europe by 2025.

The latest statistical data shows that SVOLT's total order volume for the fourth quarter has also climbed to 12.66GWh, a sequential increase of 91% compared to 6.62GWh in the third quarter. SVOLT's Yancheng base in Jiangsu has entered a full production state, with eight Short Blade production lines working at full capacity to ensure the smooth delivery of orders, mainly to meet the increasing order demands from customers such as Great Wall, Geely, and Stellantis. Data shows that SVOLT's whole vehicles with battery orders in the fourth quarter has reached 220,000 units, a sequential increase of 83% compared to 120,000 units in the third quarter.

However, according to recent reports from various media, SVOLT has suspended plans for two battery factories in Europe and will exit the battery module and assembly factory in Saarland, Western Germany, in January 2025. This follows the closure of another battery cell factory in Brandenburg, Germany, where equipment had already been installed, in May this year. Due to the overall slowdown in the growth of the European electric vehicle market this year, companies such as Volkswagen, Northvolt, Mercedes-Benz, Stellantis, and the TotalEnergies joint venture battery company ACC have all reduced their battery production plans.
